A
Message from the Warren Township Republican
Organization chairman
Extraordinary times make ordinary people
extraordinary. We often perceive our Founding
Fathers and the early Patriots as extraordinary, and
rightfully so. However, they were just like you and
I. They were farmers, tradesmen, lawyers,
ministers, shop owners, and teachers. They were
people who became fed up with burdensome taxes and
too much government intervention into their lives.
They believed a government should work for the
people and not the other way around. They held firm
in their convictions that liberty was pre-ordained
by God, not granted by a whim of the government.
They encouraged free thinking. They felt people
should be free to work hard and prosper. They were
just like you and I, but with one significant
difference; they decided to do something about their
circumstances. That is the spirit we look to foster
in the Warren Township Republican Organization.
Now, we don’t claim to have a Samuel Adams or
Patrick Henry among us but we share the same ire
they felt over two hundred years ago. Our aim is to
help good candidates that share our values so they
can produce positive and meaningful change. We’re
tired of candidates who sound like Ronald Reagan on
the campaign trail but vote like Barney Frank once
elected. We’re tired of elected officials who vote
for their own self-preservation and not on
principle. We’re tired of elected officials who
have an air of entitlement when we expect them to
perform their duties with a servant’s heart. Yet we
will always appreciate our solid Republican office
holders and candidates and will go the limit in
helping them get elected.
However, in order to change the tide in our
township, our county, our state, and our nation, we
need your help. Come join us, the neighborhood
Republicans, and help us get our common values
re-established in our society. This will take time
and effort. All of us in the Warren Township
Republican Organization are working folks with
families just like you. And just like you, we have
time constraints and numerous obligations. However,
we no longer ask “Why me?” When it’s time to do
something; we ask “If not me, then who?” So in that
spirit, I ask you to remember John Paul Jones as he
was building the newly established United States
Navy when he said, “The stature of our homeland is
no more than a measure of ourselves. So sign on
young man and sail with me”. We owe it to the
Founding Fathers and the original Patriots who
pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their
sacred honor. More than that, we owe it to our
families.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Mike Amrozowicz
